How’s your vocabulary? You’ll quickly see how you measure up to your friends and family when you play this classic board game! If you’ve never played Scrabble, it is fairly simple, you mix up letter tiles and draw out 7 for each player. The first player starts by forming a word on the center of the board from two or more of their tiles. Each letter has a point value and you keep adding up your points as you play. Then each player takes a turn adding words onto the board, and hopefully scoring some of the double or triple bonus squares that help boost your words points. It’s one of those classic board games because it still captures peoples interest year after year. They also have plenty of variations now – even Scrabble card games. So if you love words, this is your game!

#5. Dominoes
Dominoes is definitely one of the best classic board games because it can be played in so many variations that you’ll never be bored of it! One of the most common forms of play is when you place the domino tiles face down and shuffle them around. Each player draws 7 tiles and then the person with the highest double goes first by laying that domino down. The next person matches that tile with one side of their domino laying them so the matching side touches. If you can’t match the tile you draw from the pile until you can. The first to run out of dominoes wins! Simply entertaining!
How many Dominoes will you match up to win?
#6. Clue
How are your detective skills? In the game of Clue you try and use deductive reasoning to figure out who the murderer is! There are suspects, rooms and weapons and you move around the board into the rooms to accuse someone. The real murderer is chosen at the beginning of the game by randomly/secretly putting a person, room and weapon card into a special envelope so that no one can see. The rest of the cards are then dealt to the players. You can keep notes of what is in your hand and what is revealed through the game to figure out what is left and must be the actual murder. Your accusation is tested by having the person to your left look through there cards to see if they hold any cards and must reveal one to you. So, is it Mr. Green in the Library with the Rope?!
